I work in a building just 5 blocks away from my apartment, for that i walk every morning to work, the sun blazing hot that damages my skin even by just 5 blocks away. Ive seen this commercial of skinwhite where john lloyd talked to a girl because he was attracted to her white smooth skin, after seeing it i was tempted on trying this out. It was a commercial of a product of splash named skinwhite power whitening lotion.

I went to 7-11 to buy the product and was surprised for its low price. I bought the smallest bottle because i was not thinking of using for a long term. The first time i used it this was my reaction: its long lasting, and also non sticky and it still is.

After several weeks of usage Ive been satisfied with the product, Ive seen changes in my skin. Now my skin is much fairer, whiter, and much more vibrant. even my college mates noticed the changed.

My hair was soft and it wasn't easy to style. I've been using different hair gels but they don't work on my hair, then I saw my friend using this product of Splash and I try using Splash Control Setting Lotion that I bought from the nearest store in my school. When my hair got long, I tried to style it. I've tried different product like Hair Gels but the problem is it doesn't give that good look in my hair, using the hair gels tends to damage my hair, having hair falls, and worst is dundruff.

Hello Hygienix!

This is so pleasantly strange! Just as I was about to add a bottle of alcohol (of the ethyl kind) to my grocery list, I received two goody bags of Hygienix products from Splash this weekend!  Woohoo! The Universe is ticking off my grocery list! (Dear Universe, there's a Celine Luggage tote on the list. In bold letters. Hahaha!)

Hygienix is Splash Corporation's latest offering in a long line of personal hygiene products. A new player in the anti-bacterial market, I strongly feel Hygienix poses a threat to more established brands because the product itself is superb! It's an effective disinfectant, yet it smells mild. No visions of hospital rooms and medical instruments flashing before my eyes. Not to mention, the packaging makes it look like it's "imported" and actually looks nice in your medicine cabinet, if you're particular about that sort of thing, heehee. Although I did notice, it looks like J&J's alcohol bottle no?

The full Hygienix line is composed of a range of  disinfecting products which include: ethyl alcohol, anti-bacterial hand spray and anti-bacterial hand gels.

Of course, I couldn't resist doing a battle of the hand gels! In one corner - the ubiquitous Dettol (which I just bought 3 days ago!) and in the other, our proudly Philippine-made Hygienix.

Here's my blow-by-blow on this match up:

Germ-killing Power: Both claim that it kills 99.99% of germs

Price: Ok, this isn't apples to apples because I'm comparing Singapore vs Philippine retail prices, but just to give you an idea, a 50 ml bottle of Dettol retails for SGD 3.25 at Cold Storage while a 100 ml bottle of Hygienix sells for Php 42.45 in Puregold.

Scent: Hygienix wins hands down! It's just not me, Dear Hubby thinks Hygienix smells better too! Dettol has a lemon-y alcohol scent whereas Hygienix smells fresh and less harsh/clinical. 

Gel: Both don't have an icky sticky feel, and have a cool, refreshing effect on the skin. But Dettol is not sticky. Hygienix is slightly sticky. I'd say Dettol wins this round.  Although I do like the tiny bubble-y effect of Hygienix, just because it looks nice, haha.

Packaging: Aesthetically speaking, I'm feeling Hygienix has a more gentle, skin-sensitive look. The "Hand Care" tagline softens the fact that this is an alcohol product. Dettol's packaging looks antiseptic, not that different from their household cleansers. It does say it's dermatologically tested,  and the overall effect is serious and no nonsense.

Size: Both come in handy travel-sized bottles. Dettol comes in 50 ml. size while Hygienix comes in 50 and 100 ml bottles.

Be Hygienic Anywhere with Hygienix

If it had not been made obvious by the content on this website, I am a person on the go who loves to eat and explore.  Eating, for most of us, is a continuous event, even for those who say they are on a DIET.  When it comes to restaurants, access to the loo provides us a chance to wash our hands before every meal.  But how about when we ragingly rip open our favorite bag of chips in the car?  Do we immediately snag handful of chips from inside the foiled bag?

Extract Papaya Calamansi Skin Whitening Deodorant Review

I purchased 2 of these when I purchased them, & I am glad I did. FAST shipping, I was glad so that I can try the product out. I didnt expect it to eliminate the underarm odor the way in which it did, & I mean all day protection (24hrs).

 I would say 3 weeks before you see whitening results but nonetheless it does what it says. I wash with PAPAYA KOJIC ACID SOAP under my arms every day, and then I found this product online. Do I recommend this product?

Yes.  Its very affordable at nothing over Php120.00 per 100ml bottle its a no-brainer.  You can use the shampoo for a month depending on the lenght of your hair and frequency of use. While the hot oil treatment last for 4 uses (but still depending on your hair length and frequency of use).  I also love the fact that it is specifically made for Asian hair.

Splash Control Setting Lotion Review

I bought Splash Control Setting Lotion from the same convenient store where I bought the hairstyling wax. Splash Control Yellow Setting Lotion is a non-sticky gel that provides manageability and ease of hair styling. It also contains D-Parthenol that conditions and moisturizes hair, locking in moisture for added sheen. I use it everyday and so far, I have nothing to say against it since it gives me a good hairstyle everyday. I simply apply it to my hair and arrange my hair using a comb. 

When the lotion dries up, I comb my hair again to give volume to my hair - emphasizing the hairstyle I wanted. I have been using Splash Control Setting Lotion for over a week now and I intend to use it for a longer period of time. As long as it does not damage my hair, as long as it does not leave dandruff, as long as its gentle on my scalp, I want to keep on using this product. I will even recommend it to my brothers who also used to apply hairstyling gels on their hair.

Maxi Peel Moisturizer

I have a dry skin due to the soap I am suing. Often times I have a skin which has the tendency to crack when I use this my facial soap. To be able to wear my make up appropriately I use Maxi Peel Facial Moisturizer in tandem with its sunblock solution. I like using it because it doesn’t have that greasy feeling compared to other moisturizers that I have used before. It’s a good brand for me because I have been using it for several years now and I find good results in it. I don’t have a problem with dry skin which might hasten cracking of my skin which might lead to infection. When I am suing it putting on my make up is a breeze because the make up easily sticks without smudges unlike if I am not using a moisturizer. I am not that vain when it comes to having a beauty regimen but I am particular with moisturizing and having a sunscreen. I just take the simple advice of experts when it comes to skin care. It is very important to moisturize and use a sunscreen for protection.

For me Maxi Peel is a good brand because it is endorsed by several actresses here in the Philippines and I have been using it for a couple of years now and I love the result on me as well. As for the price it is definitely a deal because it is one of the cheapest in the market.

Over all I would definitely recommend using it because I know that is safe and it has been in my beauty regimen ever since and it is my secret for keeping a healthy skin and a youthful look.

Splash Control Hair Polish

I love curling my hair. But the problem is my hair doesn’t always hold it for too long. An hour would pass and the curls in my hair would be gone. It’s really disappointing, especially if I want to look presentable with my friends when we’re out or when we have presentation and plays in our school.

During my spare time, I would go to the mall with my friend. We usually head to Watsons to find new cosmetic products that are affordable. That time, I was lurking their hair sprays and lotions area. My friend then pointed this product: Splash Control Hair Polish. She then told me to buy since it was affordable and that I didn’t want to buy the pricey bottles of hairsprays. At first, I was skeptical because it was just a hair polish and that it would never hold my curls for too long. After much prodding, I then gave in to her suggestion and bought a bottle. I tried the product about a week after the purchase because I need to look pretty for a date.

After curling my hair, I placed a medium-sized amount on my palm (about the size of half a golf ball) and placed it on my curls. I didn’t run through my curls with my fingers. Instead, with my palms covered with the hair polish I scrunched up my hair, cupping the curls with my palms so that the curls wouldn’t lose their form. I then added a little more of the polish on the upper part of my hair so that it’s as glossy as my curls. What I like about this product (compared to hairsprays) is that it doesn’t make my hair stiff. With the Splash Conrol Hair Polish, my hair just looks natural (I would normally describe my hair with the product as a “damp hair in a cute and sexy kind of way.”)

Surprisingly, my curls that day stayed even when I was already at home. I really loved how it made my curls stay and how natural looking it looked on my hair. Since I only placed a small amount of the hair polish on my top hair, my face didn’t become too oily from the product. My curly hair looked really sleek and natural. My main problem with my hair (if it’s just as it is) is that it’s really dry and poofy. But with the hair polish, my hair looks really healthy and tamed. If you use the product and only use the ample amount of hair polish for your hair, it would look really great on your hair. At least, that was my experience with the product. I always buy this product and only use it to hold my curls. I don’t usually use it every day since I’m afraid that using it too much would make my scalp too oily and hence, make my face too oily. I guess the trick in using this product is that you don’t have to use it excessively. Just use whatever amount you think is right andfor sure your locks would look great.

The best part of my daily routine I do is to fix my hair. After taking a bath, I always look myself in the mirror and always find myself disturbed with how my hair looks. Honestly, my hair was once very soft and straight until I learned to make it fixed using medicines in salons that I and my mother used to go, and so I was not used to seeing my hair very frizzy. When I was in my freshman years in college, I used to tie my hair into braids so that my classmates won’t notice how disgusting my hair looks.
